Alex Morgan leads investment in new women’s golf league

Soccer legend Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures is the lead investor in WTGL, a new platform for team golf in partnership with the LPGA. Trybe, co-founded by Morgan, has assembled an investment team including business leaders Linnea Roberts (GingerBread Capital); Jenny Justy (PEAK6); Susan Lyne (BBG Ventures); Jen Mackesy (investor and philanthropist); Ellie Rubenstein (Manna Tree); and fellow soccer stars Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach. The league will launch this winter and will feature teams of LPGA tour stars. “WTGL will create a global stage for us to get to know the stars of the LPGA in an exciting new way,” Morgan says. “We cannot wait to tell their stories.”
