Nanit, the smart baby monitoring tech company with AI at the core of its business, has raised $50 million to accelerate the development of its new Parenting Intelligence System. CEO Anushka Salinas, a mother of two young children, says the New York City-based company will use the funding to help it build out AI capabilities. “Adults now track sleep, stress and health patterns to spot trends and intervene early, yet babies, the group that benefits most from early insight, have no comparable system for monitoring,” says Salinas, who has led Nanit for almost two years after serving as president and COO at Rent The Runway. The Parenting Intelligence System will roll out next year and will measure personalized sleep guidance, breathing and speech patterns and motor skill milestones. Nanit has more than 1 million subscription-based users.
