A new intimate and unflinching documentary on E. Jean Carroll is now playing in select theaters as Donald Trump’s Justice Department is investigating her for perjury. Ask E. Jean chronicles her life from her days as Miss Cheerleader USA to her rise as a journalist, author and advice columnist. It also covers in detail her two legal battles against Trump totaling for sexual abuse and defamation. The 91-minute film features unreleased 2022 deposition footage, personal archives and career retrospectives and is directed and produced by Ivy Meeropol. Also involved are Oscar-nominated producer Laura Bickford and producer and Emmy-nominated documentary and scripted film producer Annabelle Dunne.
