Facebook is more than just a way of keeping tabs on your friends, as 38% of adults across the United States say they regularly get news on the site. Thirty-five percent get their news from YouTube. Pew Research Center says more than half of adults say they at least sometimes consume news on social media. Other popular “news” sites include Instagram and TikTok (both 20%) and X. “Women are more likely to regularly get news from Facebook, Instagram and TikTok,” the report says, “while men are more likely to say they get it from YouTube, X and Reddit.”
