Fewer women on Forbes 400 list

Julia Koch is the richest woman in the United States. The 2025 Forbes 400 — an annual list of the richest Americans — says Koch and her family are worth $81.2 billion, ranking No. 17 on the list. Koch and her children inherited a 42% stake in Koch Inc. when her husband, David, died in 2019. Sixty-two women (about 15%) are on the list, down from 67 in 2024. Candy, food and pet firm co-owner Jacqueline Mars is the second-richest woman. Casino owner Miriam Adelson is No. 3. Elon Musk, Larry Ellison and Mark Zuckerberg are the three richest people in America.
