Has feminism failed women? Really?

New CBS news head Bari Weiss is wasting little time stirring up controversy. You probably saw that she abruptly pulled a segment scheduled for last weekend about the deportation of Venezuelan men to a prison in El Salvador on the grounds the report needed more scrutiny. Now, CBS News and Weiss’ media startup, the Free Press, are holding a debate series, “Things That Matter,” with one topic called, “Has feminism failed women?” As the Guardian put it, “This new series looks rather more like a vehicle to amplify the Things That Matter to Donald Trump’s Billionaire Friends and Bari Weiss.” The debate series is sponsored by Bank of America.
