Lucy became Luke on LinkedIn, and engagement skyrocketed

Fabulous Feminist founder Lucy Ferguson changed her first name to “Luke” on LinkedIn for 24 hours with astonishing results. She says impressions skyrocketed 818% versus the prior seven days. Members reached and profile views also shot up. “I saw job opportunities I don’t normally see, despite not changing my bio or description,” she wrote of the experiment on LinkedIn (as Lucy). “Apologies to the people who sent Luke a connection request or followed him. Unfortunately, he does not exist, but Lucy will be more than happy to connect!” Ferguson launched Fabulous Feminists in 2023 to “create and nurture a network of gender specialists with a shared purpose.”
