Mass General Brigham researchers have developed a new AI model, FAHR-FaceAge, that is able to predict individual cancer survival rates using a single photograph of a face. Researchers began by feeding the model 40 million photos of faces to build its archives. And now, by looking at the gap between someone’s chronological age and the patient’s FAHR-FaceAge, health care professionals can determine the patient’s potential fragility and inform treatment decisions.
