New drug aims to help with weight loss for women in menopause

CagriSema remains in the clinical trial phase but has showed a promising average weight loss of up to 25% in late-stage trials. Researchers also reported a smaller midsection in waist circumference measurements among women at different stages of menopause who used the drug. The Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk is expected to launch the experimental injectable treatment early next year.
