New group seeks to expand Pink Aid’s support for breast cancer patients

Breast cancer — one of the most expensive cancers to treat — costs Americans an estimated $3.14 billion annually in out-of-pocket expenses. A new advisory group aims to help more breast cancer patients get assistance for those costs. Visionary Circle is made up of executives, legal professionals, innovators and health care advocates. Their goal is to support Pink Aid, a nonprofit that has provided more than $6 million in emergency financial assistance to over 9,200 breast cancer patients since 2015. Visionary Circle plans to help Pink Aid expand its efforts by forming strategic partnerships, increasing awareness and raising funds, as well as sparking conversations around the financial burden of breast cancer.
