It’s something every woman will experience but nearly two-thirds of women say they don’t fully understand the symptoms and treatment options for menopause. A new poll published this week by Gallup found that, while 40% of women aged 35 to 44 say they have experienced symptoms of menopause and perimenopause, most don’t fully understand these symptoms and only a quarter say they understand how to get the treatment they need. Most cited personal experience as the reason they feel more confident. The poll points to a lack of education provided for younger generations before they enter menopause, making it difficult for them to determine the cause of their symptoms until they’re fully into menopause.
