Phira has unveiled a device that tracks hormone fluctuations — but it isn’t worn on a finger or wrist. The wearable fits on the back of an earring to continuously collect thermoregulatory signals from the back of the ear, a prime site for measuring core body temperature patterns. These patterns shift with hormonal changes, and this data enables the device to track estrogen, progesterone and LH levels in real time. This offers women access to current data on their hormone status without urine tests, blood draws or daily temperature readings. The device is going through an extended pilot study and is expected to launch in 2027.
