Studies show that staying active and controlling blood sugar, typically between ages 35 and 65 years old may influence dementia risk 10 to 30 years later. Researchers at UT San Antonio are currently looking at identifying earlier biological signs to help prevent the disease by examining how the body breaks down macronutrients and understanding sleep patterns.
