The New York Liberty are the most valuable women’s sports team in the world, with an estimated worth of $400 million. The remainder of the top five on Forbes’ inaugural list of the world’s most valuable women’s teams are all WNBA franchises: the Indiana Fever, Seattle Storm, Las Vegas Aces and Phoenix Mercury. The rest of the list includes eight National Women’s Soccer League franchises and five European soccer clubs. The 25 teams combined boast a valuation of $5.6 billion. A recent McKinsey & Co. report says women’s sports could generate at least $2.5 billion in the United States within the next five years, a 250% increase from 2024.
