Eight Sleep, co-founded by Alexandra Zatarain, has raised $100 million in new funding to develop the world’s first AI-powered “sleep agent.” The sleep agent can interpret biometric data to predict outcomes and can then adjust variables such as temperature, elevation and bedtime routines, marking a “breakthrough in applying large language models to human physiology.” Eight Sleep, founded in 2014 by Zatarain and three others, has already surpassed $500 million in sales of its temperature-controlled sleep technology and has customers in more than 30 countries. In 2017, Zatarain was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Five years ago, INC honored her as one of its top 100 Female Founders.
