Professional women’s basketball league Unrivaled has kicked off its second season, and fans so far are nothing short of apathetic. Front Office Sports notes that ratings are down “significantly,” adding that the hype surrounding the upstart 3-on-3 league’s debut season last year has “worn off.” TV ratings on TNT averaged just 175,000 viewers in the two games on opening night Jan. 5, while other games drew even fewer eyeballs. Last year, the league averaged 221,000 viewers on TNT during the regular season. Front Office Sports says the WNBA, by contract, averaged almost 1 million viewers per game last season.
