The WNBA says its fanbase is 57% male and 43% women, with the biggest growth coming from male fans. They’re getting younger as well: The number of boys under age 18 who watch WNBA games has skyrocketed 130% over the past four years, partially due to the Caitlin Clark effect. The league also set attendance records this season, drawing more than 3 million fans. The first round of the playoffs averaged 943,000 viewers on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2, the second-most ever behind only last year’s playoffs.
