Since the start of 2022 more than 280 venture capital funds led by women have collectively raised $12.6 billion. Axios reports that the numbers come from All Raise, a San Francisco-based nonprofit with more than 3,000 women and nonbinary investors. The news outlet notes, however, that the $12.6 billion is “just a fraction” of the almost $77 billion raised by U.S. VC firms last year alone. All Raise says 62% of U.S. VC firms in 2022 had no female partners, noting that Pitchbook data shows that only 27% of VC deal value in 2023 went to female founders and co-founders.
