Young Americans have become increasingly cynical about the direction of the United States, with 47% saying they wished they could live in the past. An NBC News poll of more than 3,000 adults between the ages of 18 and 29 finds lots of concern with the direction of the country, with 71% saying it’s “on the wrong track.” Another 62% say they expect life to be “worse than previous generations.” Two-thirds either somewhat or strongly disapprove of President Trump, while 30% have unfollowed a friend or family on social media because of their political views. The Iran war is particularly unpopular.
