Young voters more likely to say health care is failing women

Younger voters are significantly more likely than older generations to believe the U.S. health care system is failing women. A new poll commissioned by Plan B, a company that offers a backup method of birth control to prevent unintended pregnancy, found a 15-point generational gap, with Gen Z and millennials expressing the greatest dissatisfaction. Younger voters also want policymakers to improve access to contraception and broader reproductive health services, signaling a shift in how younger Americans view reproductive health care. Previous polling has shown that Gen Z women in particular are moving to the left, with four in 10 identifying as liberal, compared to 28% in the early 2000s.
