Women of all ages are more likely than men to seek health advice from influencers. A Pew Research Center survey notes that younger women in particular turn to influencers, with 57% of those between the ages of 18 and 29 saying they get health or wellness information from social media or podcasts, 10 percentage points higher than men of the same age. Women also say influencer content surrounding beauty and appearance is more likely to show up in their social media feeds. Around half of young women who get health and wellness information from influencers say they want to make a change in their health or lifestyle, compared to just 37% of men.
