Advocacy group launches in wake of Swalwell allegations

Cheyenne Hunt, who helped bring allegations of sexual misconduct against former Rep. and ex-California gubernatorial candidate Eric Swalwell into public view, has launched Reckoning Action, an organization focused on confronting misogyny. Reckoning Action grew out of the response to the allegations involving Swalwell and has taken on renewed urgency following accusations against former Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner. Hunt is an attorney and advocate who previously served as a law clerk for Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar. Since May 2025 she has been executive director of Gen-Z for Change, a progressive advocacy organization.
