American Baby Co. raises $4M, aims to cut IVF costs by more than half

A fertility startup that significantly cuts the cost of IVF and egg freezing has raised a $4 million seed round to support the opening of its first clinic in West Palm Beach, Florida, this fall. The American Baby Co. says the clinic will offer IVF for $8,995 and egg freezing for $4,995, less than half the cost charged by many fertility providers. On X, co-founder Van Spina shares the frustrating experience he and his fiancée endured last year as they went through four cycles of fertility treatment, writing that “starting your family shouldn’t cost $30,000.”
