Angel Reese locks down her brand

WNBA star Angel Reese has filed a trademark application for her name. Front Office Sports reports that this is the fourth trademark application Reese has filed. Reese earlier this year filed trademarks for “Mebounds” and “Reesebounds” in response to criticism over her shooting and began selling apparel with the word Mebounds last summer. The other trademark she filed this year is “Unapologetically Angel.” Women-themed sports site The Gist notes that the Chicago Sky forward also has deals with brands including Barbie, Reese’s and Victoria’s Secret. Reese recently became the first athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
