California women-owned affordable housing nonprofit closes $118.1M in tax-exempt financing

Augusta Communities, a women-led nonprofit providing affordable housing solutions, has closed $118.1 millionin tax-exempt financing to complete the purchase of nine manufactured home communities across seven California counties. The organization’s California portfolio now includes 17 communities across the state. Founded by Suzanne Taylor in 1998 and jointly led with her daughter, Erica Taylor, the nonprofit focuses on preserving affordable housing for households with limited incomes by acquiring and revitalizing existing manufactured housing communities. Augusta Communities provides planning, governance and financing for infrastructure maintenance, repairs and capital improvements for its developments, guided by its nonprofit mission to create clean, stable and enjoyable communities.
