Of the many things discovered in the recently released Epstein files are several exchanges showing how the disgraced financier attempted to exclude successful women from achieving recognition for their accomplishments. As reported by women’s news site The 19th, one example involved two women Epstein wanted disinvited to a prestigious meeting involving “luminaries in science, media and technology.” Another detailed emails between Epstein and a late scientist who criticized the intelligence of women. “Hard to be brilliant if you are worrying if you look fat or why another woman hates you or why you don’t own a kelly bag,” wrote the scientist, Roger Schanks. Epstein replied, in part, that there are “no really smart women — none.”
