A skincare company co-founded by former Elle Beauty Director Julie Schott has raised $105 million. Starface World Inc., which specializes in colorful, star-shaped pimple patches, launched in 2019 and is sold in more than 20,000 stores throughout North America, including Amazon, Ulta Beauty, Walgreens and Walmart. Industry publication Beauty Matter says the New York City-based company became profitable in 2023 and projects revenue close to $150 million this year. Schott also co-founded nicotine replacement therapy company Blip and Julie Products, an emergency contraception brand.
