Younger women feel more confident about making financial decisions than older generations, according to a new U.S. Bank survey. Nearly one-third of Gen Z women (31%) said they felt prepared when they began building wealth, compared with 25% of Millennial women and 20% of Gen X women. Younger women have also had more exposure to wealth building, with 72% saying they grew up watching family members actively build wealth, vs. 63% of Millennial women and 56% of Gen X women. However, women overall were less likely than men to feel prepared (26% vs. 41%). Women were also more likely than men to say their income isn’t enough to live comfortably (61% vs. 43%) and to want guidance on where to invest (80% vs. 70%).
