A design-focused intimate wellness startup has raised $2.5 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round, according to digital publication Beauty Independent. Mila, a Miami-based startup focused on modern intimate wellness products, began selling directly to consumers last November with the goal of promoting sexual health. Beauty Independent notes that the sexual wellness space received “intense” investor interest during the pandemic but has since cooled off, citing Mila as a “notable exception.” The Mila website features, mists, pleasure accessories, intimate wipes and more. Co-founders Ada Trujillo and Kim Aviv write on the website that they created Mila to “bring elevated, science-backed products into a category that’s long been overlooked.”
