Robin DeLorenzo, one of the NFL’s first female officials, has sued the league and two of its officials. The suit, filed in the Southern District of New York, alleges years of gender discrimination, harassment and retaliation that led to her firing in February 2025 after nearly three years as an NFL referee. She claims she faced unequal treatment, including inadequate equipment, hostile coaching and humiliating treatment by senior officials Walter Anderson and Byron Boston. The suit also alleges that the league ignored her complaints and forced her into demeaning training situations not required of male officials. The lawsuit seeks reinstatement and damages under federal and state civil rights laws. ESPN has the details.
