TIME has named 44 women on its TIME100 Most Influential People 2026, a number consistent with previous years. Among them are actor Keke Palmer, who “doesn’t wait to be told, she decides;” comedian Nikki Glaser (“a great artist who uses the power that comes with this moment;”) Olympian and professional hockey player Hilary Knight, described as “a critical voice in the U.S. Women’s National Team’s fight for fair pay;”) and Chinese artist Cao Fei, who “underlines how technology is never neutral. Instead, it can approach an almost divine dimension.” Others on the list include political organizer Dolores Huerta, Olympian Alysa Liu, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Sanae Takaichi, who became Japan’s first female prime minister last October.
