Two reproductive health companies join forces

Switzerland’s Ferring Pharmaceuticals plans to acquire U.S. health startup Gameto, which focuses on fertility treatments. The transaction value is estimated around $1.3 billion. The Texas-based company is working on developing modern IVF treatments and testing drugs that could reduce the unwanted effects of menopause. Once combined, the company plans to advance fertility treatment, providing innovative solutions and expanding access to care for women and families around the world.
