Women choose ChatGPT, men flock to Grok

Women are more likely to use ChatGPT than men, while 77% of Grok users are male. Goodwater Capital’s 2026 Annual U.S. Consumer Survey says 55% of ChatGPT users are women, and its user base has the most balanced demographic profile of any platform across gender, age and income. Claude users tend to be older and more affluent than those who use ChatGPT, while Gemini users are the least likely to pay for any AI use or to use it daily. The number of Americans who use AI on a daily basis has risen to 24%, 10 percentage points higher than a year ago. Among daily users, AI has overtaken search engines in popularity.
