Women employees are “significantly more likely to leave” their jobs because of return-to-office (RTO) policies. New research from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business notes that the policies significantly increase employee turnover in general, with firms reporting a 14% increase in abnormal turnover rates after announcing RTO mandates. Women have a turnover rate nearly three times that of male employees, with mid- and top-level managers and highly skilled employees more likely to depart. The report notes that RTO policies “undermine diversity goals by disproportionately impacting women.”
