San Francisco-based startup Collate has raised $95 million in a Series A funding round, just 17 months after securing a $30 million seed round. Led by serial entrepreneur Surbhi Sarna, the company leverages AI to produce and automate critical documentation for the life sciences industry. This is the second major venture for Sarna, who previously founded nVision Medical in 2011 at just 24 years old. Inspired by a teenage cancer scare, the company developed a first-of-its-kind microcatheter to detect ovarian cancer early. Sarna eventually sold nVision to Boston Scientific for $275 million.
