Women’s apparel brand J. Jill says net sales for its 2025 fiscal fourth quarter fell 3.1%, with comparable-store sales (stores open at least a year) down almost 5%. The Quincy, Massachusetts-based retailer’s net loss was $3.5 million, though it opened seven stores in the quarter. President and CEO Mary Coyne told analyst says the company is in the midst of a “strategic evolution” and is “taking steps to position the business for long-term growth with patience and precision.” “We're expanding into new categories and modernizing our aesthetic to appeal to a broader customer base,” she says.
