Women’s health gets only about 6% of annual private health care investment globally, and companies that focus exclusively on health issues that impact women get less than 1% of funding. That, a new report by the World Economic Forum and Boston Consulting Group shows, is costing women across the globe 75 million years of healthy living every year. This means that, even though they live longer than men statistically, women aren’t getting the proper screenings for preventable disease early enough. As a result, they are living in poorer health for longer.
