Meryl Streep will serve as honorary chair of the National Women’s History Museum’s 15th Women Making History Awards Gala, scheduled for Nov. 6 in Chicago. The event will honor the U.S. Women’s National Hockey Team; Chicago sports executive and investor Laura Ricketts; and Gregg Renfrew, founder of beauty brands Beecee and Counter. Other honorees, including civil rights icon Ruby Bridges, were announced earlier this summer. “Together, (the honorees) remind us that preserving and expanding opportunity begins with ensuring every generation has access to the full American story,” Museum President and CEO Frédérique Irwin says.
