An astonishing 40% of women between the ages of 15 and 44 say they would move out of the United States permanently if they could. Gallup says the figure is quadruple what it was in 2014. Only 19% of men say they would move to another country. Canada remains the top destination for women, followed by New Zealand, Italy and Japan. The growing trend in younger women in the U.S. looking to leave their country is not evident in other advanced economies,” the survey notes, adding that the percentage typically averages between 20% and 30%. The current political situation is a factor: “In 2025, there is a 25-point gap in the desire to migrate between Americans who approve and those who disapprove of the country’s leadership.”
