In a joint bid with Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica, the United States Soccer Federation has proposed 14 cities across the country to host games for the 2031 Women’s World Cup, including New York City, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Seattle. If selected, the 2031 Women’s World Cup would be the largest in history, with an estimated 4.5 million fans in 35 cities across the four host nations. The bid notes that the event could generate more than $4 billion in total revenue, adding that attendance, viewership and investment in women’s soccer around the world has reached record heights. FIFA, soccer’s governing body, will officially announce its decision on April 30.
