The 13 WNBA franchises that played last season are worth a staggering $5.55 billion, up 59% from last year. That follows a record gain of 180% the prior season. ESPN reports that the Sportico valuation pegs the second-year Golden State Warriors as the league’s most valuable franchise at $850 million after the club posted a league-record $78 million in revenue last season. The 13 clubs generated revenue of $407 million last year, with ESPN noting that revenue will increase this year because of new TV deals. The analysis didn’t include the league’s two expansion franchises in Portland and Toronto. The 2026 WNBA season, the league’s 30th, kicks off May 8.
