Women’s telehealth company Wisp has launched a new healthy-aging vertical. The New York-based company says the move is in response to its survey of nearly 2,000 women that revealed uncertainty over steps to take to ensure their long-term health. Wisp says healthy aging has traditionally relied on “male-centric performance culture” that ignores the needs of women. “Women are navigating complex hormonal transitions and immune issues that don’t fit into a standard biohacking framework,” Wisp CEO Monica Cepak says. Women account for 80% of autoimmune diagnoses and are disproportionately affected by health conditions such as chronic fatigue and cognitive symptoms during perimenopause and menopause.
