Two sisters who live outside of Seattle venture into the frigid waters of Puget Sound every day to call attention to endangered Southern Resident orcas. As reported by Seattle TV station King-5, Emma and Annie Stafki — who call themselves environmental documentarians — began their daily ritual after creating a film about killer whales called Echos of the Sound, a story based around Hugo, a young orca who was sold to an aquarium back in 1968. The young sisters (Emma is 21 and Annie 16) created My Actions Count, an advocacy group, and a production company called Two Girls Take on the World.
