The Trump administration and the Department of Justice are facing withering criticism after releasing heavily redacted files related to Jeffrey Epstein after Congress was allowed to view the documents. The DOJ responded by removing some of the redactions, but several news outlets report that many lawmakers remained skeptical, with British publication The Guardian reporting that Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin accused the DOJ of a coverup over redacted passages related to President Trump. Attorney General Pam Bondi is scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. DOJ says it has given lawmakers about half of the 6 million Epstein-related documents.
