Health care costs are becoming a top issue for voters, with 73% of adults citing affordability as a “very big problem.” Inflation is another major concern, with Pew Research Center finding that two-thirds of Americans are very concerned over rising costs of everything from groceries to gasoline. Unemployment, notably, is not considered a significant problem by either major political party. Republicans are also far more likely than Democrats to view illegal immigration as a significant problem. Gun violence and climate change also rank among top concerns for Democrats, but those issues are the lowest-ranked problems by Republicans.
