The start of the WNBA season is in jeopardy unless the league and players union reach a new collective bargaining agreement. The league says unless the 16-month stalemate is resolved by March 10, the schedule will need to be readjusted, as ESPN reports that the WNBA must conduct an expansion draft for two new teams and set free agency parameters for 80% of the league. Players want a larger share of league revenue and higher salaries and are meeting Feb. 27 to decide next steps. The regular season is set to begin May 8. Posters on Reddit say the uncertainty is preventing them from buying tickets.
