Though 94% of physicians either use AI or are interested in doing so, the vast majority are concerned about accuracy and reliability. A Doximity “State of AI in Medicine” survey finds only 5% have no interest in using it at all. Those that do cite fewer administrative burdens, better work-life balance, more time with patients and better patient outcomes. Younger physicians, unsurprisingly, embrace AI more readily than their older peers. Health care systems are also struggling to set guidelines and policies around AI use, with 47% of physicians reporting that AI decision-making processes at their institutions are “still evolving.”
