Former WM CFO Devina Rankin has received a $1 million cash bonus after ensuring “an effective transition of her responsibilities.” Rankin resigned from her post at Houston-based WM (previously known as Waste Management) last November after 23 years at the company, including nine as CEO. WM notes in an SEC filing that she continued to serve as an executive adviser at her prior base salary through March 13 to work on the transition. Rankin says she decided to retire to pursue her passions for education and nonprofit service. “Devina has been an invaluable contributor to WM’s success over the years,” company CEO Jim Fish said at the time of her retirement. The new CFO is David Reed.
